IONESIS - SONIC PLASMA
NETHERLANDS
“Ionesis” is a sonic plasma performance/installation consisting of three multi-electrode discharge tubes which were originally invented by the scientist Nikola Tesla. These 'tubes' transform six electronic audio channels into twelve high voltage sources, initiating an electro-sonic reaction in light plasma as a result. The focus of the work lies in investigating the discharging qualities of plasma.

Its interface, equipped with infrared sensors, allows the control of multiple sound parameters, with no physical contact. The instrument and its usage are works in progress, which search a balance between expressivity and simplicity, formalism and improvisation, transparency and ambiguity.
EUPHORIE

PURE DATA READ AS PURE DATA
FRANCE
The content of the pure data application is read as pure data into sound and pixels (rgb + extrude). “Pure Data read as pure data”, a trip through the back of the binary code, and its hidden qualities: structure, logic, rhythm, redundancy, composition... [Coded with Nicolas Montgermont]
